Myles Miller is managing editor for Bloomberg Television’s Americas programming and an award-winning journalist with over 15 years of experience in breaking news, business reporting, and investigative journalism.
He spent five years as a legal reporter for WNBC-TV, where he covers critical stories involving law enforcement, counter-terrorism, and the courts, while also leading breaking news coverage for WNBC-TV, NBCNewYork.com, and FAST/OTT. His exceptional reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic earned him the prestigious duPont-Columbia Award and an Emmy Award.
Before joining NBC, Myles held pivotal roles across major networks and publications. As deputy press secretary for the FDNY, he led external and intergovernmental affairs strategies, managed crisis communications and served as spokesperson. His tenure at Spectrum News saw him develop the network’s first long-form programming unit and establish a national assignment desk. During his tenure he produced and edited an Emmy Award-winning documentary on the opioid crisis in New York.
At WPIX-TV, he was a reporter and breaking news producer, covering significant events such as the Inauguration of President Donald Trump, the 2016 Democratic Convention, and the visit of Pope Francis. His investigative reporting led to changes in state law, and his digital journalism efforts propelled the site to #1 in comScore rankings for New York local news.
Myles also contributed to The New York Times as a consultant, where worked on development of the video breaking news desk and on the development of NYT Now, the paper’s first app offering a low-cost alternative to reach new audiences. At The Daily, as White House reporter he managed coverage of the Obama administration, Congress, and the U.S. Supreme Court, with his investigative reporting leading to significant policy changes and legal actions.
